![]() Looking at the blue "1959" Buescher/Elkhart catalog on, also listed 2X, The same configurations and model numbers as in the Lyon catalog may be seen. The Aristocrat models are 141 Alto and 157 tenor, while the Elkharts are 21A/31A. Additionally in the Tenor the Aristocrat has MOP on the F# lever, while the Elkhart does not. The easiest distinguishing features are the curved RH E lever on the Aristocrat and the straight RH E lever on the Elkhart along with the Aristocrat's ribbon key guards and the Elkhart's regular key guard. In it are Buescher Aristocrat and Elkhart saxes. I also have Catalog No 58, from the Lyons Band Instrument Co of Chicago for 19, but it is copyright Sept 1957. The 2 catalogs (1959,1963) are remarkably similar. The same is true for the 1959 Buescher catalog (listed 2X) in. I now have a Buescher 1963 catalog, copyright by H&A Selmer, in which Elkhart, as expected, is not listed, but the Aristocrat saxes models S-33 & S-40 have the features of the former Elkharts.
